Mark Teixeira hit his 9th HR od the season and went 2 for 2, lifting his average to .263 and looking like he is coming out of a season long slump.

Despite 36 lead changes and knocking Angels ace Jered Weaver out in the first inning, the Yankees 5 game winning streak was stopped in last night’s 9-8 defeat.

Phil Hughes pitched like he should have left with an injury. He went 5+ giving up 11 hits and 7 earned runs.

The game was lost on Mark Trumbo’s walkoff homerun.

Andy Pettitte takes on Dan Haren tonight.
