Hiroki Kuroda Gets No Love

Somebody REALLY needs to explain to me why people keep using terms like “disappointment”, “balky” & “shaky” to describe Hiroki Kuroda’s tenure as a Yankees starter.

I see two very bad starts (where he gave up 40% of all the earned runs he has yielded this year), one very mediocre start (opening day where Nunez cost him 2 unearned runs and an extra 25 or so pitches in the first two frames) and then a mother f***in’ truckload of damn fine starts.
I mean really?

Eight starts out of 11 he yields LESS than three earned runs? Seven of those eight starts he yields LESS than two runs? Three starts with one run or fewer allowed?

What part of that equates to anything other than a rock solid season?
